So this morning I read in the social media that Ami Bruni is saying that she and her family have received death threats all because she pranked people with a Happy Meal box that showed a Ouija board.....

Some of the more reasonable commentators did point out that the Ouija Board is still sold in many toy stores and that reminded me of a book I have on my shelves that I thought worth sharing.

GHOST FILES The Never Before Seen Archives of the Secret Ghost Society.

Written by Mary Kuryla and published by Harper Collins in the USA in 2008.

This isn't a review of the book which retailed for $19.95 back then. Aimed at Children of age 10+ (as stated on the back cover) the book contains numerous pull-outs including..... A Ouija Board !!

Shock......

The 'board' was only thin paper as was the planchette - totally impractical ! I mean how can you expect any self respecting evil entity to bother with such a pathetic attempt at producing a communication device... The included plastic foil scrying mirror is equally poor.

The remainder of the book is loosely based upon the historic investigations of Harry Price mixed up in a crazy way with fragments of the SPR and The Ghost Club.

I think there might be a few old copies of the book still kicking around the second hand market but most (if not all) have the various pull-outs missing.
